There’s nothing more mind-tickling to me than the idea of an early retirement.

It doesn’t make sense to work till mid 50s, 60 or 65 even. But most people are compelled to. It’s the way the System works. If you want to provide for your family, you have to work. There’s no alternative, unless you’re so ascetic you’re content with living tight on benefits (which in actual fact isn’t a very holy thing to do).

Alternatively, if you have a very good job and can afford to work part time, say 2-3 times a week, then why not work till 50 or 60? You’ll still have 4 or 5 days to yourself. And i’d ask, why not? Sounds good to me.

But most of us can’t afford to work part time. We need to work full time. I was reading a report today about how many men don’t take paternity leave because they just can’t afford it at the governments £189 per week or so. It’s difficult. So many expenses.

So when we work 5 days a week, coming home at 6pm, we become robots. We get programmed by the System to conform until old age. And most of us have no choice, but to comply.

Some of us would be content, or forced to become contented, but i find the idea repulsive. Like thinking of a council estate lump who smells of fags mixed with sweat and greasy hair. Or Nick Griffin.

Yesterday I came home at 8pm, and thought what? 4 hours to myself? And then asleep and back to work? And it reinforced my drive for The Great Escape.

I hope to retire by 30 inshaAllaah. But no matter how hard I try, even me, The Sussist, it will not happen except with Allaah’s leave.

Now i’ve found a way out: Think of a great business idea, make money, buy houses and live off the rent. Alternatively set up a business, employ good managers and retire. But then you have to worry about the business going down. You DONT want that headache, so living off the rent is the best solution.

If you’re business fails however, it means you were digging down the wrong way and ended up hitting masses of rock. Oh well, back you go to your cell and either dig again hoping its the right way, or conform to the System and become a Systemite. Your choice.

Such a long time. So much has taken place. Writing is strange. The Sussist is estranged. I don’t even know if I’m still a Sussist.  Like switching the bedroom lights on.

I’m new. I remember a Sussist’s hat. A Sussist’s walk. A Sussist’s energy. Such a wonderful story. Beautiful writings.

Sussism at it’s best..

Is it just me or has The Apprentice lost some of its buzz this year? Is it too early to say? Perhaps. Because what makes The Apprentice are its characters. Is it too early for us to spot the characters?

Boring characters = boring Apprentice. Simple as that. I’ll fire all bloody five of you if I have to.

Think of someone. Someone amazing. Someone who you’d aspire to be. Even if it is me which it probably is. Now let me let you in on a little secret; That person is flesh, bones and blood. Just like you. You can be whoever you wanna be because you have that capability, because you’re also made from flesh, bones, and blood. Really, feel yourself, did you feel that bone? Now cut yourself, you see that blood?

We were all born equal. There was no difference. That difference was created by a hint of genetics and environmental factors which moulded who we’d become. And that result is YOU.

Environmental factors we can change if we so wished, but genetics we can’t really change. We all have a basic temperament which is present with us from birth. Although we cannot change that inner rooted temperament, we do have the power and capability to suppress a temperament and act in a certain way to exhibit other temperaments.

For example, some children and naturally shy and timid. Others are the opposite. This is our temperament which tends to stay with us for life. Some of these children will always be shy, they may always have that fear present with them to e.g. speak publicly, but will suppress a temperament and show themselves to be more confident. Although no-one knew they had to battle that initial fear.

To be the superstar we want to be takes sacrifices. It’s a battle against your temperament, upbringing, and environment. So you need to choose who you wanna be very very carefully. Do you want to be puff daddy? You can, but you’ll probably sacrifice a heck of alot, including your own morals. Do you want to be the top dog in your career? You can, but it’s probably gonna mean sacrificing family time.

You need to choose your superstar carefully. Sacrifices will have to be made, and you need to weigh up what’s important to you in this life and the next.

I wanted to be The Sussist and even before I could intend it and weigh things up, I became The Sussist. My temperament is Sussism, and so that made life easier.

If you’re interested in enrolling on a Sussist course, to be able to articulate the Sciences of Sussism, well let me tell you something; you CAN’T. So quit whiles your ahead son. And stop tryna be something you aint.

Negative emotions such as anger, stress, depression and anxiety destroy us. They destroy us mentally. They destroy us socially. They destroy us physically.

When someone is alone, or stressed, or gets angry easily and routinely, it destroys his heart. Stress is put upon his cardiovascular system and he begins to suffer. Any conditions he may have such as heart disease or diabetes worsen at a quicker rate.

There is a link between emotion and immunity. Negative emotions suppress immunity. It was previously thought that there was no biological connection between the mind and our immune system. Both worked separately. If someone got infected, it was merely the work of antibodies and other immunoactive bodies to repel the pathogenic intruder. But it has recently been established through experiments and trials that how we feel and what our mental state is, has an impact on the efficiency of our immune system.

People who have had heart attacks are prone to having another heart attack sooner or later. Studies have shown that those patients who lived alone, or were easily hijacked by anger, or had some traumatic experience in life which left them upset and down (such as the death of a loved one), were a lot more likely to have another heart attack in the next two years than were those patients who weren’t in a negative state.

Thus when we have established that our emotions play a part in regulating our physical health, it’s important to know how to keep a healthy mind in the face of continuous stress.

Consider for example a man who works hard at a stressful job 9-5. This man is more prone to suffer damage to his internal system. He therefore should take breaks to RELAX. Relaxing is like a detox. Doesn’t Islam already promote this form of detoxification 5 times a day including during working hours? To take time out from the world and relax? How amazing.

And so it’s important to learn how to deal with negative emotions when they strike. Anger is one of the most lethal. Many have suffered heart attacks when they’re angry or moments just after. The Prophet s.a.w. said

Abu Hurayrah relates that a man said to the Prophet (peace be upon him): “Counsel me.” The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Do not get angry.” The man repeated his request many times, but the Prophet (peace be upon him) kept saying: “Do not get angry.” (Bukhari)

So let’s try and smile and let not our emotions hijack us.

Have you ever smelt the smell of porridge and chicken pizza? I have. I can smell it right now as I write. It’s unique and great. It’s not everyday we get to smell the smell of chicken porizza.

That branched out to a gazillion other snynapses in my mind to produce one word: WITH. Don’t ask me why. ‘WITH’ defines what it means to smell chicken porizza. On a more rational note (not that the previous was irrational), combinations, mixes and blends of people are what also make humanizzas. Have you ever tasted pineapple pizza? Similarly, have you ever seen a black girl date a Chinese?

I admit, I haven’t lost it. Ghufran said writing is fun. Then why doesn’t he write? I have such a baffled head. Ghufran deserves to be shot.

I love the white. I love the glistening of the white at night, in twilight or just the morning light. I love the white, I love the feeling of white. I love the way snow uplifts. Isn’t it amazing?

I love the way the snow jolts the happy meter. I love the way even the depressed smile in the white. I feel warm looking at the snow-filled roof tops of tudor houses. I love the childhood feeling of seeing kids playing with Godsent toys.

White = No dirt. Sinless. Perhaps that’s why its so uplifting and beautiful.

I love the grey. I love the howling of the wind outside. I reside at the peak of a mountain. I reside in the grey clouds. From my window I can see the raindrops. The winter is my scene. Perhaps I’m cold hearted. People normally like the sunny days. Maybe they’re warm hearted. I feel a drizzle n whizzle in my insides. I seldom leave my house. Why should I though, I have a birds eye view. Hawk-eye, 6/1. I can see what’s happening on ground zero.

People are busy. People are occupied. They occupy, I fly. Fly into a lil corner somewhere in the depth of my heart. With an electric heater to my west, on a warm cosy blanket with my head rested on the epitomy of tranquility. This is where I dwell. Most importantly, this is where I choose to be.

Somewhere on the peak of the mountain.
